Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tractor and Spray Operator to join our team. This is a contract position that plays a critical role in the success of our farming operations. As a Tractor and Spray Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of tractors and spraying equipment. Your contributions will ensure that our crops receive the necessary care and treatment to maximise yield and quality. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate tractors and spraying equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Follow application guidelines for pesticides, herbicides, and fertilisers while adhering to safety protocols.
- Monitor crop health and report any issues to the management team.
- Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting operations as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all applications, repairs, and equipment usage.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve growing goals.
Requirements
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work long hours in varying weather conditions.
- Valid NZ driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Photo ID
- Proof of eligiblity to work in NZ
