General Orchard Hands

Description: We have full-time permanent employment available for skilled, experienced Orchards Hands.

As a Orchard hand, your work could include maintaining irrigation, tractor driving, maintenance of support structures, and general orchard work. It might include pack house and yard work during the harvest season. You might have your Growsafe certificate and work as a qualified spray applicator. 

The work you do will vary depending on your skills and experience. You’ll be gaining horticulture knowledge as you work and gaining good experience. If you want to upskill and progress within the industry we can help you with that too.

You must be reliable, physically fit and have reliable transport. You will need a NZ Driver’s license. You must be legally able to work in NZ.

Hours: Our normal hours are weather dependent but generally 7.30 am to 4.30 pm Mon – Fri with some Saturday work. Longer hours may be required during peak season (late March & April).

Requirements: All applicants will need to have photo ID and proof they are eligible to work in NZ. A valid Driver’s license must be supplied for this role.
