Mechanic required - Full-time permanent
Description:
We are looking for a full time mechanical maintenance person to join our team at 91 Umukuri Road Riwaka. The role is expected to be approximately 40 hours per week. You’ll organise the maintenance of our extensive vehicle fleet that includes tractors, vans, utes, trucks, and associated implements including airblast sprayers. You’ll organise WOFs, manage the re-fuelling of our worker’s vans, and travel out to orchard blocks in the workshop ute to make repairs.
General mechanical or tool skills to help us maintain property, plant and equipment will be very useful. We are after someone who thrives on a varied workload, who ideally knows orchards and is either qualified or has experience as a mechanic, fitter, welder etc. You’ll be assisted by our part-time mechanic.
You may be asked to work some Saturday mornings and should be available for longer hours during our busy harvest months of March, April and May.
Skills & experience:
- Proven mechanical experience
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- An ability to create and maintain maintenance schedules
- Basic computer skills to complete checklists
- Strong safety knowledge
Requirements: You need to have a current, full Driver’s License.
