Teamwork and Innovation: Fairfield Orchards’ New Coolstore
We’re excited to share a milestone at Fairfield Orchards – the construction of Coolstore No. 9 is well underway!
It might seem like just another building, but for us, it represents a crucial part of delivering the best fruit possible. Apple harvests are only as good as the care they receive after picking, and having modern, efficient cool storage means our fruit stays fresher for longer, retaining that crisp, juicy flavour our customers love.
In just one month, the build has made remarkable progress. Watching the team in action has been inspiring – from the precision of the concreters to the panel construction by Coologic, and the steelwork by Infield Engineering. It’s a real demonstration of what skilled teamwork can achieve.
The timing couldn’t be better: with completion expected in late February, Coolstore No. 9 will be ready just as harvest season begins. This means our fruit will move from tree to storage seamlessly, helping us maintain quality and consistency for every batch that leaves the orchard.
